App-open receipt
Turn any link's stats into a shareable brag card — the % of taps that opened the real app, straight from Zippy's outcome data, with an honest "no taps yet" state. Free on every plan.
App-open receipt
The app-open receipt is a shareable brag card built from one of your link's stats: the percentage of taps that opened the REAL app — not the in-app browser, the actual native app. It's the number Zippy exists for, and the one plain link shorteners can't even measure.
One tap renders the card; post it wherever you like. Plain links get trapped in the in-app browser — your receipt shows yours didn't.
The app-open receipt is available to everyone, on every plan.
What's on the card
- Your short link, front and centre.
- The huge honest number: the % of taps that opened the real app.
- A split bar with the raw counts — opened the app · stuck in browser (· broken, if any).
- A small zipthe.link corner mark.
That's it. No vanity metrics, no invented benchmarks — just your link and its number.
Where the number comes from
When someone taps a Zippy link to a platform destination, the interstitial that springs the native app also reports back what actually happened: the app opened, the visitor stayed in the browser, or the deeplink broke. That's the outcome beacon — the same data behind the per-link stats in your dashboard.
The receipt aggregates those outcomes over the last 90 days:
opened ÷ (opened + browser + broken). Not every tap can report an outcome (some platforms
and setups can't be measured), so read it as a rate and trend signal — the honest shape
of how your link performs, not a census of every tap.
No taps yet? No fake numbers
If a link has no recorded outcomes, there is no receipt — you'll get a friendly "No taps yet — share your link first, then come back for your receipt." instead of a card. Zippy never invents a number to fill the space; the percentage on a receipt is always computed from real taps on your real link.
Get yours
Dashboard (web): hit the Receipt button on any link. The card renders right there — share it on.
Mobile app: open a link's detail screen and tap the receipt button — it goes straight into the system share sheet, card and caption ready to post.
The card is generated fresh on every view, so it always shows your current number — post a new one whenever the number gets more braggable.
The zipthe.link corner
Every receipt carries a small zipthe.link attribution mark — on every plan, including paid ones. The receipt is how creators show their links open the real app, and the corner is how the next creator finds out it's possible. It's part of the card, not a watermark you can buy off.
Notes
- The percentage uses the same 90-day outcome window as your link's dashboard stats, so the card and the dashboard always agree.
- The framing line on the card — "plain links get trapped in the in-app browser" — is a true statement about plain links, not a statistic. Your number is the only number.
- Receipts compose with everything else: a password gate, audience routing, UTMs — the card just reads the outcomes, whatever the link is doing.
