Customise your bio page

Make your Zippy link-in-bio page look like your brand, not ours — presets, fonts, button shapes, gradients, background images and avatar shapes, from a live two-pane editor. Every button still springs the real native app.

Customise your bio page

Your bio page at zipthe.link/@yourhandle is yours to style, top to bottom. The editor is two panes: a Content tab for your blocks and a Design tab for the whole page's look, with a live phone preview on the right that repaints on every keystroke — what you arrange is exactly what your audience gets, because the preview is the same renderer as the public page.

The rule behind all of it: the page is your brand, not ours. Colours, fonts, button shape, background and avatar are all yours; Zippy's own house style stays on the editor chrome and off your page.

The Design tab is Hero and up (the link-in-bio colours gate). The page itself, the blocks below, and featured links are free on every plan.

Start from a preset

Open the Design tab and you land on a gallery of presets. Each one sets a full look at once — colours, font, button style and background — not just three hex values. Pick the closest, then override any single knob below it. Presets are a starting point, never a lock: change one field and the rest of the preset stays.

Colours & background

ControlWhat it sets
BackgroundThe page behind everything. Solid · Gradient · Image.
TextThe ink colour every block reads for its text.
ButtonsThe accent colour your link buttons use.
Second colour + angleOnly when background is Gradient — the gradient's second stop and its angle (0–360°).
Background imageOnly when background is Image — a public https:// image URL. We paint a legibility scrim behind your content so text stays readable over any photo.

Colours are hex. A background image is a URL you paste (the same public-URL rule as your profile picture) — the value is validated before it can ever reach the page's style, so a page can't be handed a malformed or unsafe background.

Fonts

Pick from a small, curated set of typefaces — rendered in their own face in the picker, so you choose by eye:

  • Display — the bold, blocky look (today's default).
  • Sans — a clean, modern sans-serif.
  • Mono — a monospace, typewriter feel.
  • Serif — a classic serif.
  • Rounded — soft, friendly, rounded terminals.
  • Condensed — tall and narrow, for long names.

You choose a font by name, never by typing a family string, and only fonts already loaded on the public page are offered — so switching a font never adds a loading tax that would slow the page down for your audience.

Buttons

Button style is a shape × fill matrix — a compact control with a wide range:

  • Shape: Pill (fully rounded) · Rounded (soft corners) · Rectangle (hard corners).
  • Fill: Solid · Outline · Soft (drop shadow) · Hard (the offset sticker shadow).

The live preview shows the exact button as you flip the matrix. The default — Rounded × Hard — is the button your page has always had.

Avatar shape

Your profile picture can be a Circle, a Rounded square, or a hard-cornered Square. If you haven't set a picture, the avatar becomes a themed initials monogram — the first letter of your display name, in your accent colour — never a stray mascot.

The contrast check

As you pick colours, the editor runs a live WCAG contrast check on your text over your background and warns you when the combination is hard to read. It warns; it never blocks — your page, your call — but you'll never ship an unreadable page without being told.

Two new ways to build a page

Image card block

A picture-forward block: an image with an optional label and note. Add it from Content → Add block → Links.

  • The image is a public https:// URL (or uploaded where that's available) and is presentation only — it is never the destination.
  • Its kind styles the card: Product adds a price-style subtitle, Video adds a play overlay.
  • Like every block, the tap routes through one of your Zippy links → a short URL → the real native app. A rich card that still springs the app, instead of a webview embed that traps the tap.

This one block covers the "paste-a-URL → rich card" look, the product/tip card, and the video thumbnail — without ever putting a raw destination or an on-page player on your page.

Toggle Featured on any link block and it renders enlarged and emphasised — the one call to action you want tapped first, without reordering your whole page.

Nothing here changes what a tap does

Styling is cosmetic all the way down. A button is still one of your Zippy links, so a tap still runs through the redirect engine and springs the real native app out of the Instagram or TikTok in-app browser — and your page still reports the per-block app-open rate. Colours, fonts and background art never touch the destination. See Link in bio for the measurement side.

Your current page doesn't change until you touch it

Every design field is optional, and absent means today's look. A page you already published renders byte-for-byte the same until you open the Design tab and change something — no live page shifts underneath your audience because a new control shipped.

The same downgrade rule as everywhere else holds: the public page paints the colours and style you stored, whatever your plan is today. Editing your title never wipes your palette, and a downgrade never repaints a page your audience already knows.

On the phone

The mobile app carries the same theme controls as segmented pickers (font, button shape and fill, background style, avatar shape) in the Hero-gated colours card. Setting a background image is web-only, since it needs an image URL — but a page you styled on the web keeps its image and gradient when you edit it on the phone; mobile round-trips the whole theme and only changes the field you touch. Image-card blocks created on the web are preserved on mobile too.

FAQ

Open your bio editor and switch to the Design tab. Start from a preset, then override any knob: background (solid, gradient or an image URL), text and button colours, a font from the curated set, your button's shape and fill, and your avatar's shape. A live phone preview on the right updates as you type, and a contrast check warns you if text is hard to read. Customising is Hero and up; the page itself and its blocks are free on every plan. Nothing you change here alters what a tap does — every button still springs the real native app.

Can I use a custom font or background image on my bio page?

Yes. Pick any font from the curated set (chosen by eye in the picker), and set your background to a gradient or a public https:// image URL. We paint a legibility scrim behind your content so text stays readable over a photo. Fonts are picked by name from an allow-list — never a free-text family — so your page never pays a font-loading tax.

No. Design controls are purely cosmetic. Every block still points at one of your Zippy links, so every tap still runs through the redirect engine, springs the real native app, and is measured — the styling never touches the destination.

What's the difference between the Content tab and the Design tab?

Content is your blocks — links, headings, text, social row, image cards — and their order. Design is the whole page's look — colours, font, buttons, background, avatar. Restyling the page in Design never means editing every block one by one.

Is customising my bio page free?

The bio page, the image-card block and featured links are free on every plan. The full Design tab (fonts, button styles, gradients, background images, avatar shapes and custom colours) is Hero and up. A page you styled on Hero keeps its look if you later downgrade.

A link block you've marked Featured renders larger and emphasised, so your primary call to action stands out without reordering the page. It's free on every plan.
