Media kit
A live page you send a brand instead of a screenshot — showing the one number a follower count can't, the share of your taps that opened a real app. You choose exactly what it shows, and it's private until you say otherwise.
Media kit
Your media kit lives at zipthe.link/@yourhandle/kit and shows a brand what your links
actually did — measured, live, and re-checkable at any time.
It runs off your bio page: same handle, same buttons. That's not a shortcut, it's the safety property — the kit can only ever report on links that are already public on your bio page. A private link cannot appear in it and cannot move its totals.
The kit is Hero and up, and the whole feature sits behind the media-kit feature flag.
Why not just send a screenshot
Because a screenshot of your follower count is stale the day you take it, anyone can fake one, and it says nothing about whether your audience acts. Your kit says something else: out of everyone who tapped your links, how many landed in a real app instead of getting stuck in the Instagram browser. That's a conversion story, and no other link tool can produce it — see the app-open receipt for the same number on a single link.
Turn it on
Dashboard → Media kit.
Nothing is public until you tick My media kit is live. Opening the screen publishes nothing.
| Switch | What a brand sees |
|---|---|
| App-open rate | The headline: the share of measured taps that opened a real native app. |
| Total taps | How many taps your bio links got in the window. |
| Top platforms | Which apps your audience opens (Instagram, TikTok, Spotify…) and how reliably each opens. |
| Top links | Your best-performing bio buttons by taps, with each one's app-open rate. |
| Daily trend | A line of daily taps across the window. |
Each switch is one number. Switched off doesn't mean hidden with CSS — the field isn't in the public response at all.
The preview on the right of the editor is the real page, rendered by the same component your kit uses, fed by the same data a brand would get. What you preview is what they see.
Exactly what the public page contains
Always: your handle, display name, bio, profile picture, page colours, last-updated time, the window length, a sampling flag, and whether there's data yet.
Only if you switched it on and there is data: total taps · app-open rate (opens, measured taps, whole percent) · top platforms · top links (label, short URL, taps, app-open rate) · daily trend.
Never, under any setting: your account or organisation, your email or real name, your plan, your billing, any link's destination, any internal id, and nothing about individual visitors — no countries, no cities, no devices, no referrers, no event log.
The numbers are honest, on purpose
A brand may check these numbers, so the page never flatters them:
- They're sampled. Zippy measures taps by statistical sampling and extrapolates, so every figure is an estimate. The page says so, in plain language, right on it.
- Whole numbers only. No decimal places — that would claim a precision we don't have.
- "—" is not 0%. A dash means there's nothing measured yet. A real
0%only appears when taps were measured and none opened an app. Those are different facts and never look alike. - New creator? It says so. With nothing to report yet you get "Not enough data yet" — not a zero-padded stat sheet.
- No benchmarks. You won't find an "industry average" comparison here, because we can't source one honestly.
The window is the last 90 days, and it moves — that's what makes the kit auto-updating. You never re-send anything.
Send it as an image
The same headline is available as an image at /@yourhandle/kit/card.svg (there's a button
on the page), for pasting into an email, deck or PDF. It carries the same sampling note as the
page. If there's nothing measured yet, you get no card — never an invented one.
What happens if my plan changes
A kit you already published keeps rendering. Downgrading locks editing it, not showing it — the same rule as your bio page's colours. And you can always take it down, on any plan: Remove my media kit works even if the feature is otherwise locked for you.
Removing the kit clears the kit and nothing else. Your bio page, its buttons and every link keep working forever.
FAQ
How do I send a brand my stats without a screenshot?
Turn on your media kit in the dashboard and send them zipthe.link/@yourhandle/kit. It's a live
page — they can reload it a month later and get current numbers.
Can a brand see links I haven't published?
No. The kit only ever measures the buttons on your bio page, which are already public. There is no setting that widens it.
Why does my media kit say "not enough data yet"?
Because nothing has been measured for your bio links yet. Zippy would rather tell a brand the truth than show them a 0% that reads like your links don't work.
Are the numbers on my media kit exact?
No, and the page says so. They're estimates extrapolated from sampled traffic, rounded to whole numbers — a reliable trend, not a per-tap tally.
How do I take my media kit offline?
Untick My media kit is live, or use Remove my media kit. The page 404s immediately. Both work on any plan.
